Description
The tower is an essential element of our urban design concept. Its form derives from a former fair grounds tower, destroyed in the mid-sixties, which stood in a compositional dialog with the large exhibition halls. Because the surrounding neighbourhood of West end is a very tightly knit residential neighbourhood, it was important that the tower be solely for residential use‘ The tower which is made up of mostly small two-room apartments offers a different kind of living than that of the existing neighbourhood as well as the more family-oriented housing planned in
the neighbouring block south of the apartment tower and the office building at the North-West corner.
