Description
If one wants to take away some of the monotony of a carpet settlement, then one must rhythmize the building. We are concentrating three houses in a group of three, which can still be reached by car. There is a small communal courtyard and then additional entrance yards that are illuminated like a moat. A storage room for bicycles and strollers can be easily separated. From the kitchen you can see on this entrance yard. The living room occupies the rest of the ground floor. It is formed from an angle. It is not shielded by walls, but lies in a private green space, which is only demarcated with walls, if it abuts directly on traffic areas. Since the built-up area on the ground floor is small, can be provided for a dense development relatively large garden. The bedrooms on the upper floor are oriented to a terrace that looks like a wide balcony and is shielded by a higher parapet wall to the outside. Upstairs there is the possibility to connect a working room with a roof terrace. No one of the rooms can be seen by the neighbor. Thus, a dense, three-storey development is possible in which driving and pedestrian traffic are separated. Although the traffic reaches practically every front door, the high parapet in front of the sleeping terraces shields the annoying engine noise, especially at night.
