Description
The Brolberg housing complex is embedded in one of the last remaining private park fields in the closed neighborhood of Zurich. Two isiands like building complexes form the south park building extension. The project is based on a horizontal striation formulating three antithetic architectures with four conceptual horizons.
A sunken base containing all infrastructural efforts, a free span living plan on ground floor, a chamber work of individual rooms on the upper floor and an open summer house on the roof garden relate the different spatial configurations similar to a vertical selectively used menu of living. The structural regime follows the vertical differentiation and expresses on the upper floor a continuous concrete beam, bridging the spans on
ground floor.
